Prof. Khaled ElDrandaly Launched New Neurosurgery Skill Lab. & Training Center in Neurosurgery Department, Zagazig University, The latest and unique training center for training neurosurgeons on microscopic & endoscopic brain surgeries
The center is considered a qualitative leap in the field of training neurosurgeons in delicate and complex surgeries to qualify a new generation of doctors who can compete locally, regionally and internationally through using maquettes to perform microscopic surgeries and how to use endoscopies and microscopes
It is the second of its kind at the level of the Republic, and an Italian simulation model was imported (UpSergeOn) that gives the same feeling, and doctors are trained on it, and this reduces the risks that occur during operations, and he indicated that there is a part of the participation of civil society in establishing the laboratory and the university has purchased the equipment.
The Center contains 4 microscopes as a training models for microsurgeries, 2 Drills to train the doctors about craniotomies, 2 sessions for suturing & microvascular anastomosis and many maquettes for different types of cranial approaches which simulate the normal human brain
The center will receive neurosurgeons trainees from all universitas
