History of Neurosurgery in Zagazig University:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The department was founded in 1974 by Prof. Hassan Gawish<\/strong> under patronage of Prof. Tolba Awida <\/strong>president of Zagazig University and Prof. Talaat Al Ghonimy<\/strong> dean of faculty of medicine. He had a successful career in general surgery; therefore, he chose to continue as a general surgeon and encouraged his resident,\u00a0Prof. Dr. Ahmed Yehia Elhusseiny<\/strong>, to specialize in neurosurgery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Structure of the Department:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Department includes 4 units.
